Handling Prayer Requests in a Home Group
The time of taking prayers requests is one of the most important aspects of a home group. The consistent praying for each other that takes place in the home group format is a major factor in the INCREASE of God's FAVOR that is seen in the lives of those who regularly attend home group.
2 Corinthians 1:11
...as you help us by your prayers.
Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the
gracious favor granted us
in answer to the prayers of many.

- It is important that the receiving of Prayer Requests is done in the "Around the Room" format so that no one is missed.
- If some requests are urgent or extremely painful you can interrupt this time to have the entire group gather around a person, lay hands on them, pray and prophesy over them.
- Some groups like to distribute pen and paper so everyone can write down the prayer requests.
- One easy method of intercession is to break up into groups of 2-3 and ask each person to pray over the people in their group.
- You can put some worship music on and have a time of spontaneous intercession.
- You can also have Around the Room style intercession.
- Hopefully you will have one person who is willing to type up the prayer requests and email them out to the group. This is especially wonderful for those who missed the Home Group as well as the Elder, Co-Pastor and PJ.
